So here we are into May and my busiest month for weddings of 2015. This week Sety & I are shooting three weddings, two at the lovely Olympic Lagoon Resort in Ayia Napa and tomorrow we are off to one of my favourite hotels in the whole of Cyprus… The Columbia Beach Resort in Pissouri for the wedding of Holly & Andrew.
The bride you see in the pictures on this blog post is Nina (who got married to a very emotional Halim on Wednesday). Nina was so good at posing I stopped the shoot at one point and asked her if she had ant professional modeling experience. She says not, but boy she was a natural!
Brides to be… don’t worry, you don’t need to know how to pose like a model. I tell you exactly how to stand, what to do with your hands, where to look… everything. But ladies, a good tip for you is to try to spend a bit of time on YouTube watching how those glamorous models stand and position themselves in photographs.
The way you stand for a photograph can make the difference between a shot you adore and one that you never want to see again. Remember the area of your body that is closest to the camera will appear to be the biggest… want smaller hips? Then pull up and push slightly forward from your chest, making sure your hips are slightly further away from the lens than your upper body.
Bust some poses in front of the mirror and see how it feels, then when it comes to your big day here in Cyprus it will all feel super comfortable.
Ok, that’s all for now – I have batteries to charge and memory cards to format 🙂
